PARYS AN INTRODUCTION
Parys, the jewel of the Vaal River is a fast developing country town in the Vredefort Dome Area, (the oldest and largest meteorite impact site in the world). Harmony is found in the combination of different elements. Here you find the tranquil romance of art, antiques, coffee shops and fashion alongside river rafting, abseiling, horse trails, 4x4 routes and wildlife, approximately an hour’s drive from Johannesburg. |

It is one of the towns in South Africa with the highest per capita investment number and has become one of the most exclusive areas for property investments. It will be held this year for the fith time on 7, 8 and 9 November 2008 and is the only festival of its kind. Yearly it attracts thousands of visitors with its theme of adventure and outdoor activities. The aim of the festival is to market Parys and The Dome as an adventure tourism destination. |

The Parys Info Office is the only self-sustained information and tourism office in the Free state. The aim of the office is to supply information about Parys and the Vredefort Dome World Heritage site. Parys /Info is a Parys Development Forum initiative
